That schedule...always ticking in my ear. Always winning. We caught only the last moments of the honoring.

Today I made a long list of all the things I intend on doing. Eventually. I'm considering that productivity and calling it a day.

It surprised me that the first day of wet, gray gloom was as welcome to me as the first day of Spring. The first day is the only day of wet, gray gloom that is welcome, however.

Lucky for me, they're recording their own childhood on video. Probably a truer record than I'd ever get.

The entire afternoon stretched out before me and then, evaporated. Still, if all my days were like this, they would feel empty.

All the things I like to do...they're impossible to fit in a day. Maybe even in a lifetime? Though that's yet to be seen.

It's not his fault, so I really have to remember to be careful what I say. Not to make him feel bad. But the stench coming from these things (and the feet that go in them) is intolerable.

Once upon a time, I wondered how people could really go to every single home game. I don't wonder any more. Only wish.

It seems like childhood is supposed to involve feathers. We always wash our hands, so I think I'm just going to go with it.

I haven't yet perfected the justification of getting nothing accomplished. But it was a lovely day and perhaps that doesn't need justified.

The sound of the moving water, my kids dirty, all of us together. Today was full of happiness. I sat on the rocks and tried to wrap my arms around it.

The cowboy said maybe we could follow the rainbow to a pot of gold at the end of this Reds season. I'm sure hoping.
